With the right shoes…you can conquer the world

Hey everyone, Adam here…
This week I thought I could talk about my obsession with shoes.  Yes, I said my obsession.  Sierra also loves shoes, but as she is a woman, that’s almost expected.  I would stay away from this subject but in the past 5 years I would say men have become just as obsessed with shoes as women.  I find myself buying about 4 pairs of shoes a month.  I mainly buy Nike 6.0’s but I will defer to some other skate shoes companies as well.  I love bright eccentric colors so my shoes are usually flamboyant.  I like my shoes to turn heads.  Recently I found myself shopping online to find a better selection and that’s when I discovered that you could design your own at Nike.  Sierra and I designed the most obnoxious and amazing high top 6.0’s I have ever seen.  Completely one of a kind, Fujawa/Bailey 6.0’s.  I love ‘em.  I also have a pair of Jordans I designed myself in black and gold as a nod to my favorite team, The Steelers.  They’re amazing!  Is my shoe obsession girly? I don’t think so, I’m a mans man and my shoes are awesome!!

Hi all, Sierra here…
True story, one day Adam and I were out shopping (yes, there were shoes involved) and the sales girl pointed out that we were both wearing bright green shoes…she seemed to think it was odd.  I thought it was amazing and instantly instagrammed it!  I am also the one lying on the floor photographing the Fujawa/Baileys in the photo above, obviously I understand his obsession and love shoes as much as he does.  True we both love shoes, but I’ve noticed that I shop seasonally and will buy flats, boots, sneakers, heels etc where Adam shops constantly year round and only buys brightly colored sneakers.  He does have one pair of dress shoes that he bought last summer which he talks about ALL the time (his Chummy boots, which require their own blog post one day) but mostly he just collects a crayola box of sneakers.  A few months ago we both noticed that he was in dire need of some new pants.  So Adam went to the mall.  Twice.  Both times he came with new sneakers and no pants.  So I went back with him a third time.  I managed to grab a pair of pants and throw them on the counter amidst the shoe boxes, but it was a close call to going home sans pants once again.  Hopefully his footwear is so distracting that no one will notice when he starts walking around in just his underwear and sneakers…
