Galentine’s Day: Who, What, Where, When, Why

Galentine’s Day: Who, What, Where, When, Why

What it is: “Oh, it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.”

Who created it: Leslie Knope, everyone’s favorite public official from the show Parks & Recreation played by Amy Poehler.

When: February 13th (established on February 11th in 2010)

Where: Your favorite breakfast spot. But can also be celebrated with a girl’s night out, slumber party, weekend away or even doing something ultra Leslie worthy like volunteering together.

Why: Because your girlfriends are after all, your soul mates and your friendship should be celebrated just as much as your relationship with your partner.
